CORE RETURN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

  • The transmission has drained of all fluids.
  • The core is clean and has no fluids leaking.
  • The transmission housing has no visible cracks.
  • The core will be returned complete with all components as supplied unit.
  • I will attach the Core Return Tag to transmission being returned.
  • I will return the core in the same stand/packaging as the Exchange Component was delivered in.
  • I will return the core within one month of purchase date.
  • I will ship ship the core to EX Heavy Duty Parts, 2016 Cornatzer, Road, Advance, NC 27006.

DEX Heavy Duty Parts, LLC (“DEX”) warrants CERTAIN INDIVIDUAL COMPONENTS of each DEX Renovated AMT Transmissions to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service for a period of up to 1 year and unlimited mileage, provided all transmission manufacturer’s maintenance and inspection requirements are followed. All coverage is subject to the qualifications, limitations and exclusions as noted. All warranty claim requests must be filed directly with DEX. Refer to the DEX Return Information found on the DEX website https://dex.dev.velaagency.com.

WARRANTY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Warranty repairs must be performed by an authorized Volvo or Mack dealer, or repair facility authorized by DEX. Prior authorization by DEX is required before any diagnosis or repairs can be done. Contact DEX Customer Service for authorization at 888-631-3409.

Only one warranty claim per DEX Renovated AMT Transmission. Warranty coverage ends when either a warranty claim has been submitted an approved, or when 1 year from date of purchased from DEX is up, whichever comes first.

  • Extensions of warranties are neither available nor applicable.
  • Maintenance and/or wearable items are not covered under this warranty.
  • Failures incurred due to workmanship issues during installation, maintenance or “one time” repairs performed by customer or end user are not covered by any warranty provided by DEX. Freight, vehicle down time and or any other type charges are not reimbursed under warranty claims.

Unless otherwise approved by DEX, warranty coverage begins at date of purchase by the end user. Sales documentation is required for all warranty claims. If delayed registration for warranty start date is needed, the request must be submitted to DEX for documentation of sale to end user and start of warranty period.

  • Single (one time) repair coverage (during 1-year coverage period). Should a covered component in a DEX Renovated AMT Transmission fail, DEX will provide a credit to cover the documented cost of repair, but not to exceed $800. Prior authorization for repair is required prior to performance of diagnosis or repair work. Once repair is approved, a copy of the repair invoice is required when claim is filed. Credit will be applied upon review and approval by DEX.

  • Single (one time) catastrophic failure coverage(during the 1-year coverage period). Should a covered component in a DEX Renovated AMT Transmission fail, causing a catastrophic failure requiring transmission replacement, DEX will provide, at its sole election, either (a) a replacement transmission (assuming availability in DEX inventory) or (b) full credit (based on original sales invoice price) for the purchase price of the DEX Renovated AMT Transmission. Warranty coverage will be determined upon return of the transmission and inspection by DEX to determine cause of failure. DEX will provide an additional credit of up to $800 for R&R time if a replacement transmision is supplied, towing, or other costs. Copy of supporting invoice(s) required and subject to DEX approval. Freight for warranty replacement engine will be provided by DEX.

This Warranty does not cover the following: freight damages, improper installation, shipping charges and any other incurred expenses.

THIS WARRANTY IS MADE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND OF ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY ON THE PART OF THE MANUFACTURER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION OF THE FOREGOING, CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. DEX NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY PERSON TO ASSUME FOR IT ANY OTHER LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALE OF COMPONENTS OR PARTS.

Warranty instructions:

  • In order for warranty to be valid, end customer/ purchaser must register engine within 30
    days of purchase. To do this, go to https:// dex.dev.velaagency.com/register-warranty/ and complete the required forms and upload a copy of the installation repair order.
  • Authorizations are required prior to repairs on any DEX renovated components.
  • Warranty coverage or credits will not be applied if work has already been performed.

NOTE: UNITS ARE SUPPLIED DRY. FILL WITH LUBRICANT AS SPECIFIED BY VEHICLE MANUFACTURER. NEVER DISMANTLE OR ALTER A UNIT THAT IS SUBJECT OF A WARRANTY ADJUSTMENT. THIS ACTION, WITHOUT WRITTEN APPROVAL, VOIDS ALL WARRANTIES.
